God so loved the world that he sent his only son
To spread the good news to the world
To be a light for everyone

It’s the same for you and me
If you keep the message in your heart

cos God made this world to be pleasing to His eyes

It's tearing me apart, the voice inside my head
Condemn the one you love,
that what the voices said to me.
A kiss upon the cheek, in the shadow of the night
will bring it to an end, I know the voice is right
What have I done, who can I blame?
The curse of the money and the shame
I take it all back, it shouldn't have been
I thought it was right but now I have seen
The prophecy filled, evil and good
and all that's left is the field of blood.
A trusted disciple but I didn't belong
Go quickly He said - do what must be done.
The voices haunt my soul, why can't I believe
what's in front of my eyes, are we being deceived?
This teacher so gentle, so full of God's grace
I see what He does and when I look in His face
I see; something deep inside,
something we'll never know
I try to believe but the voices say 'no'.

My work day is over, another day ends.
And soon I’ll be drinking with my special friend.
He’s always around when I need him around
And we always drink right to the end.
We sit at the bar and we talk the night through
He says ‘cheers’ to me…
and I say ‘bottom’s up’ to you
And Jack never leaves ‘til we’ve drunk the last drop.
Until then we just never stop
And when Jack leaves the bar, I’m left on my own
No-one to talk to, a bar stool for one.
Blurry eyes and pounding head,
I wish that Jack would end up dead
Then I wouldn’t be sad and sitting
here on my own again.
I reached a new low cos
my best friend’s a bottle of booze
This isn’t the life I ever thought I would choose
Jesus help me see what little good’s left in me,
I haven’t anything left to lose,
My world’s falling round me,
I need some ‘Good News’
Another shift over, even Jack has drained away
I know my life is wasting and it’s too much to pay
I don’t need Jack to be my friend anymore,
I want to kick his ass out of the door
Lord I’m praying on my knees
to take this devil-made friend away.
(Lord) help me with this drinking,
help me kick Jack out the door
He’ll fight to come back, but I don’t need him anymore
Before I met Jack I was a regular guy
Now the spirit I need is from the Holy one who died
He’s the only one can help me
get my life back off the floor.

Monday brings another day of things that must be done
Cleaning church, then cleaning kids,
then meeting number one.
(I'm) Secretary of the Guild, Chairman of the Board,
Busy, busy working late, all to spread God’s word
Get up early, drive to work, try to find a way
To squeeze and cram in work for God
and Caesar every day
Making calls for ringing bells, musical events;
Jam pack fill another day; a life that’s so intense.
But is this what God had in mind,
when he made us man and wife?
You going out, me coming in
or is this just the style of life we’ve fallen in?
What does God want us to do?
Should we ignore each other? I know I’m missing you.
No-one can imagine all the things that wouldn’t work
If we stopped holding meetings to benefit God’s church
Everyday there’s something on, a list of things to do
Every night we pass like ships steaming out of view
But is this what God had in mind,
when he made us man and wife?
You going out, me coming in
or is this just the style of life we’ve fallen in?
What does God want us to do?
Should we ignore each other? I know I’m missing you.
We’ve built a happy, frantic world outside of you and me
But is it for the glory? What about our family?
And all the time and all the work will never buy a place
In heaven, that’s the sole domain
of God’s redeeming grace.

A life of loneliness
When I look back at all the things I missed
I never thought that it could be like this

A love so unreserved it fills my heart

People say I’m crazy
Praying when there’s so much going on
But this life is a gift from God
And it’s just a little taster

Broken, weak and helpless, this simple thing I pray
As darkness falls around me and daylight fades away.
When everything I take for granted cracks & starts to leave
When I’m stripped bare, when there’s nothing there

both new life and decay.

My life overflows with the wonder of God
My heart’s full of joy for the Lord
I can’t get enough of the spirit of Christ
Can’t hear enough of the Word
So I’ll shout, shout, shout for the Lord
Shout from the tops of the trees.
I am fizzing with life I am buzzing with news
That Jesus has come to save me....save me.
I cannot believe that sinner like me
Could be part of God’s greater plan
I only asked Jesus to enter my life
To save me and make me again.
Most people I meet are so gloomy and sad
Their lives seem so empty and dull
They stress about things
that they know they can’t have
But Jesus can make their lives full.
And I’ll sing, sing, to worship the King.
Sing to the Lord God on high
I will dance and praise in every way
That Jesus has entered my life....my life
When I look back on my life without God
It seems very shallow and thin
Despite my mistakes and the times that I fell
Jesus still let me come in
I can’t say I know what the future is like
But faith in the Lord’s all I need
It brightens my day, like a bright shining light
I’m blessed that my sins are redeemed.

If they could see me now
A life of peace exalted with my King.
A place in glory wanting for no thing
A room made for me by my friend.

All of my family and my few friends
They’d reconsider my life’s bitter end
And know I was never on my own.
Cos Jesus Christ forgave me
And took away my sins
And now I rest in heaven
For ever with my King.
On earth I was a no-one,
I lived on lonely streets.
Invisible to everyone I’d meet.
If they could see me now
The change from living low to living high
Sleeping in doorways while they passed on by.
A shadow figure in the cold.
If they could see me now
They’d understand the thing that I always knew
That faith in Jesus was what got me through
From cardboard house to rooms of gold.
My life on earth below, was seen by most as wasted.
My life’s possessions in one sack
My world I carried on my back
But faith in Jesus’s love
And I’m in heaven above.
If you could see me now
You’d say I must have been a Godly man.
Not some old drunk sippin’ from a can
Wrapped in rags against the cold.
If you could see me now
You’d see me smiling and my face is bright
You’d come to realise that I was right,
To put my faith in God.

This could be the day
that you choose to follow God

God has called to you
God has summoned you
To follow Him
Today you can choose
to become a disciple of Christ
To turn from your sins
and discover a new kind of life
One where the Lord is king
The meaning of everything
He’s waiting for you
So give your heart to Christ
Be a living sacrifice
You can choose a better life... today
Today you can be
the person you’ve wanted to be
Not trapped by the things
that stop you from being free
You can make a (new) start
Accept Christ into your heart
And follow his ways
